≡ About Andy

I was born in a blizzard in 1978. I always said that the world knew I was coming. My mother had some pretty severe problems with me in utero, and we were both lucky that we made it out alive after a tricky C-section birth. She lost a gall bladder, I got a well-formed head. My early life was a bit odd, growing up in a trailer park, way smarter than just about everyone around me, and never quite sure what planet my folks would be on from day to day. Eventually we moved out to the edge of town and lived in a big, old, haunted house underneath the power lines. It was never a regular life, but it was entertaining and we have plenty of stories to tell about it.

When I went to college, I found that the world was awfully big and that I really ought to do something about it. I made some great friends and kept a few of them. When graduation rolled around, I skipped off to Europe for a while, and started law school when I came back.

Law school left a lot to be desired, but I came out with one important thing: the love of my life. She was ‘Motorcycle Girl,’ I was an obnoxious jerk. But she loved me anyway. Now we’ve got a blissful little life in a small town with dogs and cats and no end of strange normalness. I look forward to the day I can start fixing all that big world I was talking about.
