You know, those are her whites in the dryer, Felicia.
I made contact with actress Felicia Day this week. She’s known really only for some very fringe independent stuff like The Guild and a few episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in my recollection. She’s been in some indie films and a handful of other television series, but nothing I can remember watching. I was reminded of her recently when I saw a Cheetos commercial starring Miss Day. It’s the one in the laundromat, where the redhead puts Cheetos in some woman’s laundry to get back at her for her rudeness. It’s kind of creepy and surreal, and does not really make me want Cheetos so much as to look out for hallucinatory talking cheetahs.
Anyway, I saw the commercial and seemed to recognize the actress, but couldn’t place it. Then my friend posted a link to The Guild on YouTube for me to watch, and I got a name for the face. She’s got a website and a blog apparently all of her own design. Miss Day seems to be a bit of a nerd, having been a violin prodigy as a child and a math major in addition to being an actress. She blogs about lots of techie stuff, including video games and new websites, so I thought I’d give her a read, and commented on one of the posts about Warcraft.
I received an automated response from her blog, thanking me for commenting and inviting me back anytime. I thought that it was awfully quaint and sent a reply to her public email address. I was quite excited when she emailed me back! I don’t know what it is, but for some reason I just get a kick out of meeting people, even on the internet. I need to get out more.
